What to eat in One Utama

Place to share good food to eat in One Utama, Damansara. Please specific, the restaurant name, location or how to get there, food must try, the price and also others like the services, ambience.

Wok Kok Cha Chan Teng, Honey Chicken

We have just tried it yesterday (Tuesday) and we have ordered the set lunch which costs RM9.90, excluding the 10% service tax and 5% gov tax.

They have different set lunch everyday, the set lunch come with
- soup of the day
- Hong Kong teh tarik , "si mar nai char" .. (well i am not great fan of that drink. It taste funny to me, and we would have to throw in 3 packs of sugar, i had 4 packs!)
- Fruit .. (The waitress looks confuse when we said please serve the fruit later, you might want to try that too. Hehe, because i think they would serve everything in a shot)
- and your main dish .. (which i had ordered the honey chicken with rice)

The portion is generous, the set lunch honey chicken is nice but that will be only available on Tuesday so don't complain if you go at the wrong day. One thing that i don't like about hong kong style restaurant is the food standard is always not consistence, so i'm hoping that the honey chicken would taste the same on my next visit.

Beside that, i have ordered the curry fish ball which cost RM6+, because of the influences of hong kong movie, where you will see the street hawker selling the curry fish ball in almost every hong kong movie. Their's curry fish ball, is just the normal fishball with the curry sauces, I think it would be better if the fish ball were marinated with curry. Interesting enough the curry is black in color, which i love eating with the rice.

my colleague ordered bun (man dao) with ham in it which not worth mentioning. It is too dry and it taste like bun. Hahaha, well nothing special actually.

I feel the food of hong kong cuisine restaurants in Malaysia is not really impressive and overpriced. We have a hand full of hong kong style restaurants in malaysia, I believe most of you had tried the RM 10-20 Hong Kong maggie mee but overall my first visit to this restaurant is average, i would come back again to try on others and to see if they would be consistence with the food quality.

My colleague comment was, she find that the price of Wok Kok Cha Chan Teng is reasonable compare to other but she don't seem to be enjoying a lot with her food. She ordered the wanton mee, you see the problem? We need rice!
